Your hosted applications, now with an API.

How it works

Your data stays where it is

  1. Your data stays on CloudTop

The API runs next to your hosted application. We never open SQL ports or copy your database anywhere.

  2. A key per client

Each client gets its own API key, and it only works for that client's data.

  3. Only the views you approve

Read-only views you sign off on. Nothing else is exposed: no costs, no internal notes, no raw tables.

  4. Every call logged

Every request is recorded, so you always know what was read and when.

What clients are doing with it

Automation partner, no database credentials

A technology reseller's integration partner needed order and quote data out of QuoteWerks to drive automation, and asked for SQL access. Instead, CloudTop exposed four read-only views — documents, line items, customers, products — behind a per-client key. 83,000 documents queryable in minutes, nothing in QuoteWerks changed, no port opened.

Owner
the partner delivers without a security conversation.
Manager
quotes and orders flow into the tools the team already uses.
IT
a key you can rotate, not a login you can't.

The owner asks the pipeline a question from his phone

A hosting company's CEO wanted to know "how many open quotes do we have and what are they worth?" without opening QuoteWerks. His QuoteWerks data was connected to Claude in two minutes via MCP; he now asks in plain English and gets live numbers. Read-only by construction — the AI is offered no write tools at all.

Owner
answers, not reports.
Manager
"which quotes expire this month?" is a sentence, not a spreadsheet.
IT
nothing installed, nothing to patch.
Live

Power BI without an open SQL port

Finance teams usually report in Power BI from QuoteWerks by opening a SQL port to an office IP — a hole in the firewall someone has to maintain. On the API platform, Power BI reads HTTPS endpoints with a key instead. Same dashboards, firewall closed.

Owner
audit question answered.
Manager
reports keep working.
IT
one less exception to defend.

Quotes into Monday.com, CRM stays on QuoteWerks

A sales team runs its pipeline in Monday.com but quotes in QuoteWerks Desktop. Rather than migrating to a web edition, CloudTop builds a sync from QuoteWerks to Monday boards on the API.

Owner
no licence change.
Manager
one board, always current.
IT
no new product to support.

Replacing a retiring Salesforce login

A company's QuoteWerks–Salesforce link was built on a login method Salesforce is retiring. The API becomes the QuoteWerks side of the new link, with scoped writes approved field by field.

Owner
no scramble at the deadline.
Manager
nothing changes on screen.
IT
modern auth, documented surface.

Ask for the two most recent documents. You get plain JSON back, with a link to the next page.
